Marla C. Dubinsky, MD, is the Director of the Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Dubinsky is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California at Los Angeles, School of Medicine.
Dr. Dubinsky's main research interests are health outcomes and the epidemiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in children and pharmacogenetics. Her objective is to study the influence of genetics on the variability in clinical presentations and drug response in an attempt to optimize and individualize the management of IBD. Her research is supported by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Digestive Health Foundation.
Dr. Dubinsky has written for numerous peer-reviewed journals including Gastroenterology, Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and The American Journal of Gastroenterology. In addition, she has authored book chapters for Trends in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Diagnosis and Therapeutics.
Dr. Dubinsky received her bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario and her medical degree from Queen's University in Canada. She completed her clinical pediatric gastroenterology training in Montreal, Canada.
